How has the Clevy Dyscover been developed?
The Clevy Dyscover is based on thorough research. Feedback was given by several dyslexia expersts - such as remedial teachers, primary school teachers, children with dyslexia and their parents - on the main findings. The Clevy Dyscover thus helps children with dyslexia and makes using a computer easier and more appealing.
Do I need a Clevy Dyscover for every Clevy Keyboard?
No, this is not necessary. For example, if you would have 5 Clevy Keyboards, you could buy 1 Clevy Dyscover. When you install the Dyscover software on all 5 pc’s, you can place the Dyscover over one of the Clevy Keyboards, activate the software and work with the Clevy Dyscover.
Why do the sounds of the Dyscover all have different colours?
The different sounds are being grouped the way they are grouped in the different sound groups. The colours are based upon used teaching methods in dyslexia therapy. This choice has been made to encourage recognition and simplicity as much as possible.
With which programs can I use the Dyscover?
The Clevy Dyscover works as a regular keyboard and can therefore be used with any program. Wether you are typing a web address in your browser, writing a letter in Word or working in a special educational program, you can hear and see the sounds.
Can I install the Dyscover software on a network?
In order to be able to provide you with complete information on this, we are currently testing this with several networks. We will advise you on this in due course.
Are the sounds of the Dyscover phonetic?
Yes, the sounds are phonetic.
Can I only use the Dyscover on a Clevy Keyboard?
Yes, the Dyscover is specially made for the Clevy Keyboard and can only function when the Clevy Keyboard is plugged in.
Can I install the Dyscover software on multiple pc’s?
Yes, the Dyscover software can be installed on any number of pc’s. This does not incur any additional costs.
When will the Clevy Dyscover be available?
The Clevy Dyscover is currently in development for Denmark. When you see possibilities for your country, please contact us.
My computer has multiple useraccounts. When I log in on my useraccount and I try to register the Dyscover software, a register error occurs. What can I do to solve this?
When you are having problems to register the Clevy Dyscover software and you get a register error, you can use this software patch to solve the problem. To completely install the software you must have a useraccount with admin rights.
How does the Dyscover work?
The Clevy Dyscover is an add-on for the Clevy Keyboard. When the Clevy Dyscover is being placed over the keyboard, the numbers, amongst others, are being replaced by sound keys. When the Dyscover software is also installed, all the letters and sounds will be hearable and readable when the keys are hit. The Clevy Dyscover offers both visual and auditive support.
